Jeff Crawford | Just Like One Another
In a four block world/Where our story takes its place/I see the signs of you each day/Shadows cast remembrance to the places that we’ve been/And often driving by we’ll wave/Though not estranged in any way except within/I feel a cloud has crossed your face
But we’re just like one another/We’ll pick up the pen/And begin to write the changes/We’re just one and the same/And sooner or later we’ll begin/To write the rest of our days
I remember well when we first came face to face/Now it’s different, now we’ve changed/Even then a memory, the truth so good to taste/Now all the surface got in the way/Though we’re in middle ground, we’re not at odds/We’re not as one, I feel the days will soon escape
So if words come out of mouth/You know not where they came/Just keep walking try to taste/Maybe then the shadow that I cast will come attached /With a firm resolve to turn the page/Find out what’s in store as seasons come and seasons go/We should be set for one or more
